Introducing our new X5 Internet Access Accelerator

We are pleased to announce our new X5 service. This service can speed up your internet surfing up to five times faster than your current dial-up access speed.

How it works:

We use compression software on both our server and a small program on your computer (which you download). Our server compresses information before it is sent to you, the program on your computer un-compresses the information, resulting in speeds as high as five times faster than your current speed. All of this happens transparently to you the customer.

After you sign up for the X5 service you will receive an email with instructions to download and install the software. There is a small download file (760k) that needs to be installed on your computer. This program does the compressing and uncompressing of the information transmitted on the dial-up connection.  After the download installation and a few settings (username and password) the system works transparently for you the user. The software setup should take you approximately three to four minutes to complete, it's fast and easy!

Once we receive your order to configure your X5 service we will setup your account on our server with the X5 accelerator. Once we complete the operation on our server we will email you with instructions to download and setup your system. The setup on your system is fast, just install the software, enter a username and password and your done.

The X5 Faster Internet Software is not available for use on our Filtered Access Service or the Mac platform (availability for the Mac platform is expected in October). The X5 software accelerates HTML (web pages), Javascript, JPEG, GIFS, BMPS, Text and E-mail. It does not accelerate streaming media, secure web sites, file attachments, digital music and some digital photos.

Pricing:
The cost for the X5 Accelerator is $3.00 each month in addition to your current monthly charge for your dialup connection. An example, if you use our basic dialup access at $12.00 then you would pay ($12.00 + $3.00)  a total of $15.00 a month.
